Andres has over 20 years of global experience in hotel and restaurant management. He first joined Swire Hotels in April 2017 as Hotel Manager, where he oversaw all operations, including EAST Miami’s popular dining outlets: the signature Uruguayan restaurant, Quinto La Huella, and award-winning rooftop destinations, Sugar and Tea Room.
A proud Uruguayan and bilingualist, Andres not only fits naturally with the local community in Miami but also brings with him a diverse cultural knowledge coming from the nation where its population is of multicultural origins.

As a graduate of the Centro Superior de Hosteleria in Galicia, Spain, Andres began his hotelier journey at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in the US and Latin America, where he specialised in food and beverage operations before and subsequently took on the role of General Manager with another international hotel group in Mexico.
Andres now resides in Miami with his wife and three children, and in his spare time enjoys doing outdoor activities – from scuba diving and football to occasionally shark diving.
